Senior Java Developer
The Java proficiency for this job is considered Expert. Please include and list any certifications you hold.
This is a Customer facing job that requires excellent verbal and written skills. Clear and precise spoken English is mandatory.
The position is full time with excellent benefits - this job is open to US citizens and GC Holders only - absolutely no Visa Holders.
To be eligible for this position you must have at least 6 years of continous enterpise java development expertise and be able to demonstrate your knowledge in an extensive technical interview.
BEA WebLogic application server
Java programming with J2EE, EJBs, and Core Java in a multi-server environment
experience with high transaction rate applications
strong skills with highly threaded applications and communicating between threads
strong communication skills, including technical writing (comfortable talking to technical and nontechnical customers)
JDBC and SQL
experience with JMS, MDBs, SOAP, web services, and realtime data feeds
mentoring junior developers
supporting live, production systems
able to coordinate several projects at once
Some of the other technologies used include: XML, cvs, ant, IDEA, tomcat, Javascript, DHTML, CSS, Perl, and PHP. Financial industry experience is preferred.
The primary role of this position is to support and enhance the Java code in our core application servers. This includes creating new screens, supporting new products, enhancing existing products, optimizing or rewriting existing code, tracking down and solving difficult bugs, and teaching junior developers software engineering techniques. Candidates must be very comfortable working with others, friendly, and easy to get along with. You must be flexible, dedicated, and a team player!
